Nothing keeps your employees more motivated to be at work than when you have great company culture. That’s why it’s so important to not neglect the holidays that are coming up and celebrate at the office! It’s also a great chance to talk to your employees or coworkers outside of all the hassles you deal with at work daily.
Don’t know where to start? Check out some of our favorite ideas below!
1. Pot Luck
If you’re a manager, this is a great way to keep your stress levels low while planning the office party. Simply encourage everyone to bring their favorite dish! Not only will this make the party inexpensive, but it will also give everyone a chance to try new dishes rather than have the usual catered-in meal.
2. Chili Cook-Off
This is one our company has been practicing for the past 7 years and it’s always a complete success! Simply have people sign up to be a chef and cook their unique chili recipe. All the people that sign up will compete for the winning spot! On the day of the party, place the chili with corresponding numbers and your staff will vote for their favorite chili. Then, count the votes and crown the new chef! You could even offer a prize for the winner.
While the chefs make chili, have your other employees sign up to bring side dishes or desserts! it’s a great way to get everyone involved. (Check out the pictures of our chili cook-off below!)
3. Chalkboard Thanks
If your office is extremely busy during the holidays and absolutely cannot host a Thanksgiving party during lunch or after hours, a “Thankful Chalkboard” is the way to go! Simply buy a chalkboard and have your employees write (neatly) what they are most thankful for. It’ll be a great way for your customers to get to know your thankful company culture, as well as allow the employees to learn new things about each other.
Whichever way you decide to celebrate, don’t forget to be genuine and thank your staff and customers for their hard work and support! The success of a company lies within the team they have.
As promised, here is our company’s 7th Annual Chili Cook-Off!
