1. Read the newspaper.
This will allow you to be up-to-date with the latest information and form your own opinions about the articles written. Furthermore, newspapers are a great way to acquire a wide variety of information- not just the ones that you are interested in.
2. Read daily.
The best way- in my opinion- to increase your knowledge daily is definitely by reading. Whether you read fiction or non fiction, reading allows you to see things from a totally new perspective. Furthermore, nonfiction books could even be an opportunity for personal development and growth.
3. Watch documentaries or educational videos.
I know, this sounds boring, but if you find the right thing to watch it might turn into the best hour you’ve spent watching TV! Discovery Channel, for example, provides excellent documentaries that keep you engaged. If you hate reading, this is an excellent alternative to getting your daily dose of knowledge while still relaxing in your couch!
4. Subscribe to feeds of interesting information.
Truth is that we spend hours daily on our phones- specially social media. Why not fill it up with information that will help you grow? Get smarter every day by following pages that post “fun facts” or the news.
5. Work out.
Working out, specially doing cardio, is a great way to get your brain flowing and to keep your mental health in shape. It’s also a great way to think through difficult decisions or process new information.
6. Hang out with people who are smarter than you.
This may be a no brainer, but it is often overlooked. The people we surround ourselves impact us more than we think, so be sure to surround yourself with smart and motivated people!
7. Play “smart” games.
For the competitive soul, I strongly recommend gathering up your friends and playing. It is challenging, including almost every area you can imagine. However, some games, like chess and Scrabble, expand your mind.
