Innovative Staff Solutions has a direct hire opportunity for a Project Manager/Estimator in the Eastern or Southern part of Indiana! While our client is based in Central Illinois, they have market needs in the Eastern and Southern parts of Indiana making this a work from home opportunity!

Our client is seeking a Construction Project Manager/Estimator with 3-5 years of estimating experience in commercial/industrial building construction. The ideal candidate will contribute to the growth and expansion of their progressive company in the Indiana markets.

Considered Applicants will possess the following attributes and perform the following duties:

  • 3-5 years of Project Management or Estimating experience in Commercial/Industrial building construction
  • Strong communication, time management, and problem-solving skills
  • Prepare accurate job estimates, quantity and material take-offs, preliminary project schedules, value engineering analysis, and feasibility studies
  • Assist with historical cost tracking and database management
  • Ability to manage estimating duties on multiple projects of varying complexity simultaneously
  • Be responsible for final assembly of estimates for proposals
  • Work with Project Management team to develop project strategy during the preconstruction phase
  • Review and interpret drawings/specifications for constructability concerns and value-added suggestions
  • Conceptual estimating capabilities
  • Identify, establish relationships with, call upon and solicit bids from subcontracting community
  • Evaluate subcontractor proposals and prepare bid comparison spreadsheets
  • Assist the Business Development team with the preparation of proposals and participate in team presentations
  • General knowledge of commercial building construction practices
  • Aid project management and field management with change order pricing and evaluation
  • Assist with document control during the preconstruction phase
  • Team-oriented individual with a positive attitude and continual desire for learning

 

Preferred Consideration is given to:

  • Self-motivated candidates with strong work ethic, detail-oriented, strong interpersonal, organizational, communication and computer skills
  • Degree in Construction Management, Engineering, Business or other related fields
  • Experience with Sage, AutoCAD, Microsoft Project, Procore and Office Suite a plus
  • Experience with project management and/or field management exposure
  • Experience with Design-Build delivery method
  • Experience with Pre-Engineered Metal Buildings
