What You’ll Do
You will play a key role in machine operation and material handling within a high‑volume steel environment. Responsibilities include:
- Operating heavy-duty cranes and other industrial machinery
- Loading and unloading mill trucks
- Working in high-volume steel production environments
- Following warehouse responsibilities and safety guidelines
- Lighting burners and starting pumps, compressors, scrubbers, and absorption units
- Adjusting panelboard controls to regulate temperatures and manage airflow and hydrogen during ammonia production processes
- Supporting both stock material handling and first‑stage processing operations
- Using burner/torching equipment
- Reading instruments such as thermometers, pressure gauges, and potentiometers
- Making control adjustments using operating instructions and charts
- Logging data and computing material percentages using standard procedures
- Using basic computer and math skills
- Lifting up to 50 lbs as needed

- Proven experience operating cranes used to lift structural steel
- Prior experience in steel or industrial environments
- Strong measurement skills (testing required)
- Ability to lift up to 50 lbs
