What You’ll Do:
Start up, restart, and monitor plastic injection molding machines
Ability to tear down, clean and reassemble molds for PM or insert change.
Create and optimize process run specifications parameters; heat profile, pressures, gate sequencing, hydraulic gates, pneumatic gates
Validate process performance using parameter log audits to ensure equipment is functional and running at standard specification
Perform plastic process defect and molding resolutions; short shots, warp, flash, gate failures, mold hot spot
Identify processing inconsistencies caused by mold, machine, or material
Report out of spec conditions and follow quality control processes
Perform and maintain material and color changes
